Creative Writing
As an instructor of creative writing, I taught English majors poetry, scriptwriting, creative nonfiction, and fiction. I designed my own syllabus, lectures and assignments, and facilitated writing workshops.

I taught English composition to college freshmen and sophomores. Written assignments and class discussion helped them develop research and critical thinking skills, text analysis, and their voices.

As a Community Based Learning (CBL) creative writing teacher to fourth graders, I developed lessons that taught students about storytelling, current cultural events and historical topics.

I consulted students of all levels and disciplines on the focus, structure, cogency, development, organization, and formatting of papers, articles, theses, and dissertations.
Developmental Editing
I helped writers at every level of the writing process including: brainstorming, development (of plot, character, dialogue, setting, and POV), organization & revision.
Pro Bono Consulting
In addition to paid consulting, I provided free editorial services to non-profit organizations, faculty, professional and graduate students, and entrepreneurs.

Creative
Not only have I taught, consulted, and proofread submissions for publication with The Florida Review, but I write fiction, poetry drama, creative non-fiction, & screenplays.
